Welcome to our Bed and Breakfast

We offer a family run comfortable and elegant bed and breakfast in a large Edwardian House set in 1 2/3 acres of wooded garden on one of the most prestigious roads in Norwich. Our aim is to provide a warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere so that you feel totally at home.

Where we are

Our bed and breakfast has excellent access to the main A11 / M11 road into Norwich. We are also located near the University of East Anglia, the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Lotus Cars and Norwich's fine, historic city centre with easy access for Aviva buildings.

We have a bus stop outside the driveway which has buses running past every 5-10 minutes to the city centre, walking in only takes about 25 minutes. There is ample on site car parking. You may also park here late on your day of departure.

Our bed and breakfast service

We have three spacious en-suite bedrooms with well sprung beds and high ceilings, elegant curtains and décor, flatscreen TV with freeview, dvd player, radio, hairdryer and coffee/tea-making facilities. We can provide bed and breakfast for business people, holiday makers and families with children over the age of 12 years. There is a comfortable sitting room to relax in with television, DVD Player and daily newspapers and magazines. Breakfast is served at individual tables overlooking the garden either in the Breakfast Room or Conservatory. The large mature garden displays a wide variety of specimen trees and shrubs providing seclusion and privacy within a splendid setting.

There is a 36ft x 18ft indoor swimming pool which is fully enclosed in a warm climate controlled building attached to the main house. We use an alternative to chlorine, which has the benefit of being odourless and kind to hair and skin. The pool temperature is a comfortable 30c and is available for guests for early morning swims before breakfast 7am to 8am and various times during the day and up to 10pm in the evening. There is no life guard so swimming is at your own risk.

ALL PRICES ARE PER PERSON PER NIGHT AND INCLUDE BREAKFAST, PARKING AND USE OF THE SWIMMING POOL (Prices subject to change).

Payments are by cash or cheque supported with a cheque guarantee card. The house is non-smoking and does not cater for animals.

Discounts available for stays of three or more nights - please call for further details.

All the rooms can be booked together as a tailored package to provide for private family celebrations, such as; weddings (i.e. Bride, Bridesmaids and Parents), special birthdays, retirements, anniversaries etc. Outside catering can be arranged for supper parties in the dining room and/or drinks parties for up to 16 people.

Breakfast

We serve a breakfast in our dining room, between 7.30am and 8.30am on weekdays and between 8.00am and 9.00am on Saturdays and Sundays.

Our typical breakfast menu is:

• Fresh orange juice
• English Breakfast tea, Earl Grey or a cafetiere of coffee
• Wholemeal or white toast
• A selection of jams and marmalade
• Fresh fruit salad
• A selection of cereals
• For those preferring a 'Full English Breakfast' we serve:
  • Bacon
  • Scrambled Eggs
  • Mushrooms
  • Tomatoes

All the above is included in the price of your room.

Norwich is an historic city with many cultural attractions both in the city itself and in the wider surroundings of the Norfolk countryside or the Norfolk coast. We can give advice on places to visit, sights to see and restaurants and pubs.
